How this elegantly-made greatsword earned such a vicious name is a story that few know. After the Dyrwoodans secured their independence from Aedyr, many soldiers turned to banditry or mercenary work to earn their keep. This weapon belonged to one such soldier-turned-outlaw who amassed a sizable following of fellow displaced Aedyrans. This gang of brigands eventually found its way to Ixamitl where horses are numerous. When food became scarce, the outlaws turned to raiding villages and farms for their horses to keep fed. These outlaws supposedly met their end when an unnaturally large and aggressive herd of horses came seemingly out of nowhere and trampled them into the ground before vanishing into the plains as quickly as they had appeared.
