Skald's Brigandine

While many chanters prefer to empower their allies and hinder their enemies from the back line, skalds are an exception to the rule. They prefer to wade into the melee, shouting their defiance in the faces of their enemies. This eye-catching brigandine was passed from one skald to the next whenever its previous owner died in combat. In time, the fighting spirit of so many fallen skalds imbued the armor with a measure of the chants and invocations they would call upon in battle.
